After field testing in a number of companies Exactal is pleased to announce the release of version 3.30 for its CostX® range of products. The 3.30 release is a general release for all customers and includes the following significant changes:
- Support for Industry Foundation Classes (IFC 2x2, 2x3) BIM models
- Display of objects measured in 3D on associated 2D sheets
- Ability to view 2D measurements in 3D
- Snap to point measurements when using vector drawings
- Ability to measure angles using ad-hoc measurement tool
- Support for standard phraseologies
- Production of quantity breakdown reports
- Support for Google Sketchup files
- Support for multipage TIF
Exactal is also pleased to announce support for integration with Primavera P6 as part of 3.30. Information in CostX® workbooks can now be exported in a format that can be directly imported to Primavera P6 to tie estimates directly to scheduling.
Version 3.30 also includes significant speed improvements across a range of drawing files as well as workbook operations. Further details on the list of enhancements in version 3.30 are available in the release notes.
All customers under maintenance are recommended to upgrade to version 3.30. Customers with maintenance may download version 3.30 through Exactal’s dedicated support site TechWeb at http://techweb.exactal.com/downloads/search.php?product=P_5. As soon as the type of product has been selected and your valid serial number is entered the product may downloaded. Users may retrieve their serial number by copying the text from the about box for CostX®.
Some features only apply to the full version of CostX. Users wanting to upgrade from a different Exactal product to CostX® should also contact their Exactal office or local reseller.
